oh creation, the breath of all life, origin of the gleaming sound —

you shine in and around me —

even the darkness glows and hums with your presence.

as i draw in your holy breath i feel you and your song ring in to purify and awaken

my being.

with this breath and loving intent release the cords of error –

liberate me from all miss perceptions and oppression, inside and out –

bestow the insight and abundance that is our divine  birthright.

may your counsel rule my life and make clear your loving intention for common

creation.

may the burning wish of our heart unify heaven and earth in harmony.

from you comes the divine knowing, the all-effective will, the burning desire to

“This is how the process should work, your intuition
should guide you into forming a right intention, you
should take note of that intention and your physical
and emotional bodies should translate that intention
into the appropriate action.

This is the only way to ensure that your intention is
the right one in the first place and that the subsequent
action is the correct one to follow that intention. Otherwise,
life may carry you off on a journey that you are not too keen
on traversing. Life only flows as it should when we intend
and act as we should.

The best thing you can ever do is to implicitly trust your
intuition, one hundred percent. If you can do this, you
will not need to spend all your time intending because
you will automatically do what you need to do, without
any questions. It will happen naturally, as the Universe
commands, you will follow the Universe’s lead.

When you trust and follow your intuition, everything
you need to do in life becomes instinctive, like taking
a step, or taking a breath or blinking an eye. You do
not think or mull over it for hours, you do not pine
and whine for it, you just do it. Your intentions and
actions become one, without any hesitation. You think
as you should and do as you should and your life flows
exactly as it should.”

you know…

it’s not that I don’t care.

or don’t love you.

or that there’s no magic…

because there always is.

it’s just that life is taking me on a ride that has all of my attention.

and so, it took a phone call from a dear magical friend today to prompt me to write of the latest bit of magic…

*

past ten last night I was connecting on the phone with another beautiful light when the medicine cards came out.

*

*

the first to be drawn was swan.

*

*

this is swan’s story:

little swan flew through the dreamtime, looking for the future. she rested for a moment in the coolness of the pond, looking for a way to find the entry point to the future. this was a moment of confusion for swan, as she knew that she had happened into the dreamtime by accident. this was her first flight alone and she was a bit concerned by the dreamtime landscape.

as swan looked high above sacred mountain, she saw the biggest swirling black hole she had ever seen. dragonfly came flying by, and swan stopped him to ask about the black hole. dragonfly said, “swan, that is the doorway to the other planes of imagination. I have been guardian of the illusion for many, many moons. if you want to enter there, you would have to ask permission and earn the right.”

swan was not so sure that she wanted to enter the back hole. she asked dragonfly what was necessary for her to earn entry. dragonfly replied, “you must be willing to accept whatever the future holds as it is presented, without trying to change great spirit’s plan.” swan looked at her ugly little duckling body and then answered, “I will be happy to abide by great spirit’s plan. I won’t fight the currents of the black holes. I will surrender to the flow of the spiral and trust what I am shown.” dragonfly was very happy with swan’s answer and began to spin the magic to break the pond’s illusion. suddenly, swan was engulfed by a whirlpool in the center of the pond.

swan reappeared many days later, but now she was graceful and white and long-necked. dragonfly was stunned! “swan, what happened to you!” he exclaimed. swan smiled and said, “dragonfly, I learned to surrender my body to the power of great spirit and was taken to where the future lives. I saw many wonders high on sacred mountain and because of my faith and my acceptance I have been changed. I have learned to accept the state of grace.” dragonfly was very happy for swan.

swan told dragonfly many of the wonders beyond the illusion. through her healing and her acceptance of the state of grace, she was given the right to enter the dreamtime.

so it is that we learn to surrender to the grace of the rhythm of the universe and slip from our physical bodies into the dreamtime. swan medicine teaches us to be at one with all planes of consciousness, and to trust in great spirit’s protection.

a white swan, arms fully extended, holding back traffic on a busy multi laned highway.

his magnificent being has successfully commanded the halt of tons of metal meant for forward motion.

what power, the power of grace.

*

may the universe grant grace to me and those of me, which is all….
